Having popped a half of a sleeping pill each last night, Sherpa and I had the best nights sleep in 10 days. 6 hours each. I awoke from my slumber, refreshed, leapt from my sleeping bag and…….it was still feckin freezing…
And on we trekked from Everest Base Camp (EBC to us seasoned trekkers!!) Retracing our route back to Gorak Shep & on to Pheriche, an estimated 25km.

Today it happened. Today, I caught a whiff of myself….and I smell.
And not in a good way.
Up early this morning to avoid the rush for the communal jacks.
Today we leave our beloved Namche and head straight up for Tengboche.
We leave Namche at 8.30am in good spirits, excited to be closing the distance to Everest and discovering new sights along the way. The mood is good. Continue reading “Bed bugs”
